Genuine Leica M3 case with large tripod screw. This is an official Japanese-market version featuring the cloisonné enamel emblem of Schmidt Shokai, the authorized Leica distributor in Japan.

It can also be used with Leica cameras from the M2 through the M6, as well as the current MP, except for the M5.

There are some scuffs and cracks, but the leather remains in remarkably good condition considering that it has spent more than 50 years in Japan’s humid climate. The interior lining shows discoloration and other signs of age consistent with the years it has seen.

The strap and shoulder pad are also in good condition. With proper care using a high-quality leather cream, it should develop an even more attractive character over time.
