Rolleiflex 3.5F, Type 4. This is the model immediately preceding the final White Face version. It is fitted with a Planar 75mm lens and features a coupled exposure meter. Serial number in the 2.8 million range, dating from around 1965 to 1976. The original focusing screen is a split-image type with grid lines.
Like the 2.8F, the 3.5F was offered with either a Planar or Xenotar lens. Both are highly regarded and difficult to rank above the other. This example is fitted with the renowned Carl Zeiss Planar. In addition to its excellent image quality, the 75mm focal length offers a particularly well-balanced angle of view.
The higher-end 2.8F is of course an excellent camera, but the 3.5F offers more than enough speed for outdoor use together with a very practical focal length, making it a strong choice for photographers who value actual shooting above all.
A beautifully made 3.5F from a period when cameras were built with exceptional care. It offers all the superb quality and tactile feel expected from the Rolleiflex, one of the finest twin-lens reflex cameras ever made.

There is one linear impact mark on the side of the lens board, but otherwise no noticeable rubbing or dents are seen. Overall, the body is in very clean condition.
This camera was used for photography by one of our customers until quite recently and remains in excellent working order. The film advance crank, shutter, aperture, and focusing knob all operate smoothly. The finder view is also clear, and the exposure meter is working with sufficient accuracy.
The taking lens has a very small amount of dust and dirt, but this should have virtually no effect on image quality. Otherwise, there are no noticeable cleaning marks or traces of fungus, and the glass remains very clean.
Included are the original metal lens cap, diffuser, strap, and leather case. The case also includes the original exposure meter cover, sometimes referred to as the ear cover.
