The Leica M8, the legendary first-generation digital M camera, remains a firm favorite among Leica enthusiasts. Leica product code: 10701. This is an officially imported Japanese-market model. Its Kodak-made sensor delivers a uniquely analog-like rendering that gives the M8 much of its enduring appeal.

The M8 features the distinctive APS-H sensor format. Thanks to its relatively thin IR filter, it is also one of the few digital cameras capable of handheld infrared photography. The shutter offers a top speed of 1/8000 sec, which remained the fastest among digital M cameras until the arrival of the M11. Even today, it still holds the record for the fastest mechanical shutter speed in a digital M. Another charming neo-classic feature is the top-cover display showing the remaining battery charge and SD card capacity.

This example is in quite clean cosmetic condition and has seen relatively little use, with approximately 9,850 shutter actuations. Recommended for anyone looking for a well-preserved M8, which is becoming increasingly difficult to find in such good condition.

A very clean Leica M8. There is some slight shine from use and subtle fading typical of the black chrome finish, but there are no noticeable scuffs, scratches, or other significant signs of use.

All functions are working properly. The sensor is very clean, with no visible dirt or scratches. Test shots also produced excellent results. Please note that our warranty covers initial defects only.
