Super-Angulon 21mm f3.4 in black chrome finish. An ultra-wide-angle lens manufactured by Schneider. The Leitz product code is 11103. This example has a serial number in the 2.41 million range and was manufactured in 1970. Non-retrofocus design with 8 elements in 4 groups.

The filter size is E48, or Series VII when used with the hood. Rangefinder coupling works down to 1m, while focusing as close as 0.4m is possible by scale focusing or using live view. Actual weight is approximately 251g.

Introduced in 1963 as the second-generation Super-Angulon following the f4 version, it remained in production until 1980. The maximum aperture was increased by half a stop, from f4 to f3.4.

The rear element protrudes significantly, so care is required to avoid contact with the inside of the camera when using the lens on mirrorless digital cameras via an adapter. It cannot be used on the Leica M5 or Leica CL. Also, built-in light meters in Leica cameras will not meter correctly with this lens, so exposure must be set manually.

A well-used example with plenty of character. There is paint loss and rubbing in various areas. It has clearly seen a lot of use, but the glass is clean, making this Angulon perfect for carefree everyday shooting.

Fully overhauled in September 2026, including focus adjustment. The aperture and helicoid operate smoothly, and the rangefinder coupling is accurate.

The glass shows slight coating deterioration and a few extremely faint cleaning marks on the front element, but remains clear and bright. The glass is in very good condition for an Angulon.

Comes with a 12501M hood, aftermarket filter, and caps.
