Hasselblad 500C/M with Planar T* lens. A Swedish-made medium-format camera, renowned for its rugged construction and superb build quality.
Introduced in 1970, the 500C/M became a long-selling model that remained in production until 1989. It was the improved Modified version of the previous 500C, featuring a number of refinements, including an interchangeable focusing screen.
The body was made in 1971, the Planar 80mm lens in 1971–72, and the A12 film magazine in 1980. It is fitted with a standard focusing screen. The Planar lens has a distance scale in feet.
The original covering has been replaced with high-quality dark blue leather, giving this camera a particularly stylish appearance.
This item was previously sold by our store and has now returned to us after being carefully used by its owner.
Its condition remains unchanged from the previous sale. The exterior is exceptionally clean, with no noticeable scratches, dents, or other damage.
As is often the case, some of the printed shutter speed markings on the Planar lens barrel have worn away slightly, but the lens barrel itself is also in very clean condition with no noticeable scratches or dents.
The body, lens, and magazine all received a full overhaul in 2026. The light seals in the magazine were also replaced. All functions operate perfectly, and the camera now offers a smooth and responsive feel. It was in regular use by one of our customers until recently and is ready to be enjoyed with confidence.
Under a powerful LED light, only an extremely slight deterioration of the coating can be seen on an internal element of the Planar 80mm. This should have virtually no effect on actual photographs. Otherwise, the glass is very clean, with no noticeable cleaning marks or haze.
A genuine plastic lens hood, leather strap, and genuine HZ filter are included.
