Leica M-E Typ 240 in anthracite grey, product code 10981. The serial number is in the 5.54 million range. Introduced after the release of the Leica M10, it was positioned as an entry-level model in the Leica M series. It is said that only 700 units were produced.
It retains the essential features required for photography, including the same 24-megapixel full-frame CMOS sensor as the M240, the same 2GB buffer memory as the M-P, and Full HD video recording, while simplifying certain elements such as omitting the bright-line frame selector.
Its clean, uncluttered appearance is complemented by the stylish anthracite grey finish, which pairs beautifully with both black and chrome lenses.
A beautiful body that retains plenty of its like-new appearance. The distinctive anthracite finish is exceptionally stylish. Apart from minor rubbing around the 1/125 to 1/250 markings on the shutter speed dial, along the edge of the shutter release button collar, and on the video recording button, there are virtually no signs of use. The lens mount also shows only minimal mounting marks.
This camera was enjoyed by one of our customers until recently. All functions are working properly. The CMOS sensor is clean, with no dirt or scratches. Test shots also produced excellent results.
Our warranty covers initial defects only. However, in July 2025, Leica Japan carried out a full inspection, replaced the shutter unit, cleaned the image sensor, and performed other necessary servicing. The camera is therefore in excellent working order and can be used with confidence.
The original box, instruction manual, warranty card, inspection certificate, battery, charger and cable, strap, and body cap are included.
