Leitz Elmarit-M 21mm f2.8, late E60 version. Leica product code 11134. Serial number in the 3.36 million range, made in 1985.
This was the first Leica 21mm lens to adopt a retrofocus design, allowing it to be used on all Leica M cameras, including the M5 and CL. 8 elements in 6 groups. Minimum focusing distance is 0.7m. E60 filter thread. The compatible hood is 12543, although it is not included with this lens.
Unlike the Super-Angulon, it does not exhibit pronounced color shifts, making it a very practical 21mm lens.

This lens was previously sold by our store and has now returned to us. It was carefully used by the previous owner and remains in the same excellent cosmetic condition as when we last sold it. There are no visible mounting marks on the lens mount.
For this resale, we had the lens fully overhauled in September 2026 to ensure it is in top working condition. The helicoid and aperture ring now operate very smoothly, with none of the loose or rattly feel sometimes found in Leica lenses from this era. Rangefinder coupling is also spot-on. The glass is clean, with no noticeable cleaning marks or haze. Test shooting results were also very good.
A 12543 hood, E60 UVa filter, and front and rear caps are included.
