This example is believed to have originally been fitted to a Leica Model A around 1930, and later factory-converted by Leitz to Leica screw mount. Many Hektors of this type have a noticeably shorter barrel, but this example has a barrel length that at first glance is quite close to that of a standard Hektor.
The helicoid is the full-rotation type. The back of the focusing knob is flat, so there is no concern about interference with an L-M adapter.
Hektors of this type are very rarely seen on the market, and many surviving examples have been heavily used. This one, however, is unusually clean and attractive.
The original matching hood is the FIKUS variable hood. Our own FB-10 hood for the Hektor, which allows aperture operation with the hood attached, can also be used. The original filter type is the A36 slip-on FIOLA, while our FB-19 filter for the Hektor is also a perfect fit.

Exceptionally clean for an early nickel Hektor. The engraving plate and the nickel plating on the collapsible barrel retain a beautiful shine, making this a very attractive example for a collection as well.
Fully overhauled in September 2026, including focus adjustment. As expected, both the helicoid and aperture operate extremely smoothly. Careful adjustment has also brought the rangefinder coupling into excellent alignment. Test shooting with our demo camera produced very good results.
The front element shows some minor cleaning marks and slight discoloration, but the glass is clear and free from haze. Considering that more than 90 years have passed since it was made, the condition is remarkably well preserved. A nickel Hektor that can still show its original rendering.
Included are the original Bakelite front cap and a black-painted brass rear cap.
It is very difficult to find a Hektor of this type in such fine condition. A rare opportunity.
