Macro-Elmar-M 90mm f4, second generation. Leica M-mount. Black finish. Leica product code 11670. This is the current model.
Continuing the Leitz / Leica tradition of collapsible lens barrels, this compact short telephoto lens can be stored in a remarkably small form. The current version was introduced in 2014. This example has a 4.31 million serial number and was manufactured in 2014. Made in Germany. 4 elements in 4 groups. The filter size is E39.
This set includes the dedicated Macro-Adapter-M 14652, which enables close-up photography using live view. When combined with the adapter, the lens transforms into a superb macro lens capable of a maximum reproduction ratio of 1:2. Incidentally, the adapter alone currently costs JPY 135,000 new, making it quite an expensive accessory. As expected from Leica, of course.
A near-mint lens and adapter set. Considering the price when new, this should be quite a good deal.
No signs of use can be seen, and it is in like-new condition. It is indistinguishable from a brand-new item. The aperture ring and helicoid operate properly. Rangefinder coupling is also spot-on.
The lens comes with the original box, instruction manual, inspection certificate, warranty card from an authorized dealer in Japan dated August 2022, dedicated 12575 hood, E39 UVa II filter, front and rear caps, leather case, and original box.
The Macro-Adapter M comes with the original box, instruction manual, inspection certificate, blank warranty card, leather case, and cloth pouch.
