In this feature, we are introducing 13 FISON hoods all at once, and this is the 12th version. 12/13

With retaining screw, all brass, satin chrome, slim front edge.

FISON lens hood for the Elmar 50mm. Chrome finish. Its code name would later be changed to 12510.

FISON hoods came in many different types depending on the era, making them a very enjoyable accessory to study historically.

This example features satin chrome plating. The finish is finer in texture, giving it a more matte, whitish, and fresh appearance. The radius at the front edge of the hood is also reduced, resulting in a sharper, more angular design. The rib, or step, above the base of the hood is a remnant from the prewar FISON design. Actual measured weight is 15.6g.

This is not the very final FISON version, but perhaps around two steps before the end. After this, the front edge would become even sharper, the rib above the hood base would disappear, the engraving would change to uppercase letters, and FISON would bring its long history to a close.

It shows almost no signs of use and is in very beautiful condition. No dents or distortion are visible. The matte black paint inside the hood also remains clean. Mounting on the lens has been checked.

Comes with the original box. Also recommended for collection.
