Leitz reversed-image Vidom viewfinder with parallax correction. This example features the rare black/chrome finish, commonly referred to in Japan as semi-chrome.
A transitional version positioned between the more commonly seen black/nickel VIDOM and the full chrome model, and seldom encountered on the market.
Compatible with 35/50/73/90/105/135mm lenses. The parallax correction scale is in meters.
A delightful accessory to pair with a semi-chrome Leica DII or DIII together with lenses such as the Hektor 73mm, Thambar 90mm, Mountain Elmar 105mm, or Elmar 35mm. Ideally, one would also want the matching semi-chrome pistol grip, though that too is an exceptionally difficult item to find.
The tone of the semi-chrome finish also pairs beautifully with clean black paint Leica M bodies.
Rare item.
Some slight brassing can be seen on the lower part of the nose section, but there are no noticeable paint losses, dents, or dings, and the overall appearance remains very clean.
Both the view and operational feel are excellent. A fine piece for any collection.
Comes with the original leather case.
