Leitz HFOOK shoe-mounted rangefinder. This model combines the standalone FOKOS rangefinder with the movable FOKAB accessory shoe. Black and nickel finish with a nickel foot. The distance dial is marked in feet. The base length is 75mm, with a minimum measuring distance of 2.6 feet, approximately 0.8m. This example is the type with finely graduated distance markings.

It is designed to be mounted on the camera’s accessory shoe. When operating the shutter speed dial, the rangefinder body can be rotated out of the way, a clever and highly practical mechanism typical of Leitz. By removing the shoe section, the rangefinder can also be mounted vertically.

There is some minor loss of black paint, but no noticeable scratches or other significant marks, leaving the exterior in very clean condition. The piano-black finish retains an elegant glossy sheen, and the nickel plating is also in excellent condition.

Fully overhauled in July 2026. The rangefinder view and operation are now both excellent. A fine accessory to pair with a beautiful Leica Model A or Leica Standard.
