The XOONS lens hood for the Leitz Summarit 50mm f/1.5, later designated with the code 12520.

Beautifully crafted from brass with a black crystalline finish, this hood has a solid, substantial feel rarely found in modern industrial products.

It can be fitted not only to the Summarit but also to its predecessor, the Leitz Xenon 50mm.

Although it looks rather bulky for a 50mm lens hood, it appears surprisingly well-balanced even when mounted on a compact Barnack Leica. A fine example of Leica's exceptional sense of design.

There is some paint loss along the front edge of the hood. It is in good condition for practical use.

Fitment on the lens has been confirmed.
