Yellow filter for the Elmar 50mm, FILBY. A 36mm slip-on filter that had been produced since the early days of the Leica Model A. This one is Y1.

Changing the aperture is a bit of a chore, but it offers a classical style that matches beautifully with a nickel Elmar. The moment you attach the FILBY, your Leica takes on a wonderfully vintage look!

The filter rim shows a very slight amount of exposed brass. The glass has a few extremely faint cleaning marks, but they should pose no practical issue in use. For a filter that is nearly 100 years old, it is in very good condition!
