Yellow filter for the Elmar 50mm, FIUNS. The yellow density is No. 0, the lightest grade.
A 36mm slip-on filter from the early Leica Model A era.
This example is not engraved with the Leitz name; only a 0 inlay is found on the side of the filter base.
As it fits completely over the front of the lens, changing the aperture takes a little extra effort, but it offers a wonderfully classic style that pairs beautifully with a nickel Elmar.

It is hard to believe this beautifully black-painted filter is nearly 100 years old.
There is a slight hint of exposed brass on the corners, and a little paint loss can also be seen on the inner lens mounting area, but otherwise there are almost no signs of use.
The glass is also clear, with no cleaning marks or deterioration visible.
