Late-type Leica Meter MR, commonly known as the MR Meter. Finished in satin chrome. The Leitz product code is 14217. Manufactured by Metrawatt in Germany.
A coupled exposure meter designed to mount on the top plate of M-series Leica cameras and link with the shutter speed dial. Uses CdS metering.
This example is the later Leica Meter MR-4 model, in which the OFF/ON switch no longer interferes with the rewind knob. Introduced in 1966 alongside the Leica M4.

There is very minor wear on the accessory shoe and a small scratch near the B engraving on the side of the body, but otherwise this meter shows little sign of use and remains clean overall.
The exposure meter is working properly. Compatible batteries include the VARTA V625U and LR9.
Comes with the original box.
