Leica Meter MR in black chrome finish. Commonly known as the MR Meter. Leitz product code is 14218.
A clip-on exposure meter designed for Leica M cameras, mounted on the top plate and coupled to the shutter speed dial. Uses a CdS cell for metering.
This example is the later version often referred to as the Leica Meter MR-4, in which the OFF/ON switch no longer interferes with the rewind knob. Introduced in 1966 alongside the Leica M4.

There are minor signs of wear on the accessory shoe, and two small scratches can be seen near the B engraving on the side of the body, but otherwise this meter remains clean overall with little sign of use.
All functions have been checked and tested. The meter delivers sufficient accuracy for practical use.
Not only practical, but when mounted on a Leica M4 Black Chrome or KE-7A, it gives the camera an even more rugged and handsome appearance.
