This particular piece has a serial number in the 4.89 million range. The optical design remains unchanged from the 3rd generation, featuring a 4-group, 6-element construction. With a built-in hood, it stays compact even when carried, offering excellent portability and handling. Minimum focusing distance is 0.7m. Filter size is E39.
The Summicron has evolved through multiple generations and has been produced for over 70 years. Its high resolution and strong contrast performance continue to be faithfully carried over into the current models. A true foundation piece among Leica lenses.
No signs of use can be seen. It is, quite literally, in like-new condition.
All functions operate properly, and the rangefinder coupling is spot on.
In keeping with its pristine exterior, the glass is free from cleaning marks or haze, offering a clear and crisp view.
The original box, instruction manual, case, front and rear caps, and a 13131 UVa filter are included.
