Leitz shoe-mount rangefinder, HFOOK. This model combines the standalone rangefinder FOKOS with the movable shoe FOKAB. Black/nickel finish. The distance dial is marked in meters. Base length is 75mm, with a minimum focusing distance of 1 meter. The distance scale features fine increments. It is designed to be mounted on the accessory shoe.

When operating the shutter dial, the rangefinder unit can be rotated, showcasing a uniquely Leitz-like mechanism with excellent practicality. By removing the shoe section, it can also be mounted vertically. A perfect accessory to pair with Leica Model A or Standard.

Previously sold by our shop, this piece has returned to us after being carefully used by its owner.

Overhauled in 2022, including replacement of the half mirror. Due to age-related deterioration of the prism, contrast is slightly reduced, but it still offers a level of clarity far superior to typical rangefinders.

There is some minor wear on the distance dial, and on closer inspection, the feet scale appears to have been engraved. A small pity, given how clean the rest of the unit is.

Overall, with minimal signs of wear or paint loss, this is a particularly fine example of the black and nickel HFOOK rangefinder.
