APO-Summicron-M 50mm f2. Black finish. Leica catalog no. 11141. Since its release in 2012, this lens has made a strong impact on Leica users. The serial number of this piece is in the 4.91 million range. Minimum focusing distance is 0.7m. Filter size is E39. 6-bit coded. Officially imported product for the Japanese market.
Featuring a relatively simple optical construction of 5 groups and 8 elements, it nevertheless incorporates apochromatic correction and an aspherical element, along with a floating mechanism that compensates for aberrations depending on the focusing distance. It is a design that truly reflects Leica’s uncompromising philosophy. As a result, it maintains the compact size and ease of operation expected of an M-mount lens.
In terms of rendering, it achieves an exceptional level of resolution while preserving a natural and beautiful bokeh. The images it produces are striking and refined. Undoubtedly one of the masterpieces of modern Leica lenses.
There is a very small scratch on the front lens cap, but overall it is a remarkably beautiful piece with almost no signs of use. At a glance, it appears almost like new.
For those considering an APO-Summicron, this is an attractive price point, even though it is still a premium item. While there is no manufacturer warranty, our 6-month shop warranty is included.
All functions operate properly. The aperture and helicoid ring turn smoothly, and rangefinder coupling is spot on. Test shots also delivered excellent results. As always, the astonishing resolution is truly impressive, almost giving the illusion that the lens was stopped down even when it is not.
The original box, case, inspection certificate, instruction manual, front and rear caps, and an E39 UVa II filter are included.
