Manufactured by Rollei-Werke Franke & Heidecke in Germany. The final version of the king of twin-lens reflex cameras, the Rolleiflex 2.8F. Commonly known as the White Face, with the area around the taking lens finished in a clean white design. A long-popular model that has always attracted strong demand and many buyers specifically searching for this version.
The taking lens is the Schneider Xenotar 80mm f2.8. Equipped with a built-in light meter.
This example has been thoroughly serviced and remains in beautifully clean condition, with a generous set of accessories included.
Previously sold by our shop. It was carefully used by its owner and has now returned to us once again.
A slight waviness can be seen in the black painted area below the film counter, but otherwise there is almost no sign of use and the body remains exceptionally clean. A superb Rolleiflex 2.8F that still retains the atmosphere of a new camera from its time. Simply opening the focusing hood, lifting the winding lever, and placing it on a desk is enough to appreciate its magnificent craftsmanship.
Overhauled by a professional technician in 2025. The winding crank, the heart of Rolleiflex operation, as well as all other controls operate extremely smoothly. The built-in exposure meter is also functioning correctly.
There is a single cleaning mark near the edge of the middle element, and a very faint haze around the edge of the rear element of the taking lens caused by coating deterioration, but this is unlikely to have any noticeable effect on image quality. The central area of the glass remains beautifully clear.
Although the serial numbers do not match, the set includes a period-correct outer box and inner box, an English instruction manual, a diffuser, and a leather case and strap, all in very good condition. A fine set that is also well suited for a collection.
