The classic Leica lens hood, IROOA. This is the early version, characterized by a slightly longer hood than later models. It fits lenses with an E39 39mm screw-in filter thread.

As an early IROOA, it is marked only for the Summaron 3.5cm and Summicron 5cm, but it can also be used with lenses such as the Summicron 35mm f2 8-element and Elmar 50mm f2.8.

Compatible with a wide range of lenses, its simple and stylish design makes it a useful hood to have on hand. It complements the appearance of your lens while providing excellent practical performance as a hood.

Slightly rare.

The exterior is exceptionally clean, with virtually no signs of use. The plated section around the base still retains a beautiful shine. The black paint inside the hood also remains in excellent condition. A hard-to-find example in this condition.
