A 19mm screw-in yellow filter for the Elmar 50mm f/3.5 and 35mm f/3.5. The density is a light yellow No.1. Leitz product code FIRHE, later 13001. It is said to have been introduced in 1931.

The small black-painted rim features fine details such as engraving, paint infill, and knurling — craftsmanship rarely seen on modern filters. It is a beautifully made filter that is a pleasure to admire.

Many filters for A36 Elmar lenses are the slip-on type, but once attached, they prevent aperture operation. This example screws into the front rim of the lens, giving it a clean appearance while still allowing aperture adjustment.

It can also be used together with our original Flashback Camera FB-07 hood for Elmar lenses, which features an aperture control mechanism.

Both the exterior and glass are in very beautiful condition, with no visible paint loss.

Mounting has been tested on our Elmar 50mm.

A clean original box is included, making it also suitable for collection.
