Lens hood for the Elmar 50mm f3.5. This is an early version of the FISON without a locking screw, following the earliest rectangular hood designed for the Leica Model A.
Made of brass, this is an early one-piece construction without ribbing. We believe it is an early screwless, one-piece version produced before the introduction of ribbed construction. The section that slips over the lens is relatively short for this type. Actual weight is approximately 10.6g.
The silver inlay of the Leitz Wetzlar engraving remains beautifully intact. An exceptionally well-preserved example for such an early FISON. Ideal for collectors. Rare!
The beautiful original black paint finish remains well preserved. Paint loss and scuffs are minimal, allowing you to appreciate the fine quality of the original finish. The silver inlay lettering also remains crisp and clear.
Test-fitted on an A36 Elmar. This hood is designed to fit by adjusting its retaining tabs, so please take great care not to damage the tabs during adjustment.
The price includes domestic shipping within Japan.
