Genuine Nikon lens hood for the W-Nikkor 35mm f2.5 in Leica screw mount. Its shape differs considerably from the version for the Nikon S mount. It can also be fitted to the Nikkor 35mm f3.5, which has the same filter diameter.

Although made of plastic, this is a well-crafted hood, with velvet lining on the inside to prevent reflections.

While the hood for the S-mount 35mm f2.5 is relatively easy to find, very few examples of this L-mount version have survived, making it extremely difficult to obtain.

As a little-known trick, it can also be fitted to the Angenieux 35mm f3.5 Type X1, where it fits so perfectly that it looks just like the original hood!

Comes with its original box, which is extremely rare. A very scarce item.

There are some very minor scuffs, but this is a very beautiful hood showing hardly any signs of use.

It is in exceptionally good condition for this particular hood. Test-fitted on a lens with no problems.
