Lens hood for Nikkor 50mm f1.4. 43mm diameter, two-piece screw-in type. Compatible with both Leica screw mount and Nikon S mount. AN-43mm. Early versions were made of aluminum, but this is the final version made of brass with black paint finish.

A Series VII filter can be inserted between the hood and its base.

In addition to the 50mm f1.4, it is also compatible with Nikkor 35mm f2.5 and 35mm f3.5 for S mount. When a filter ring is attached to the front of the hood, slight vignetting appears at the corners with 35mm lenses, as confirmed in actual shooting tests.

Also, with the 28mm f3.5, the corners will vignette, so it should not be used as a hood, as stated in the original instruction manual.

Please note that early versions of the Nikon S-mount 35mm f3.5 do not have filter threads and cannot be mounted.

Paint loss around the edges and general signs of use can be seen, but it has aged into a truly appealing character. Mounted on a black Nikon S2, S3, or SP, it will surely present a striking and dignified appearance.

Confirmed to fit Nikkor lenses with a 43mm filter diameter. A genuine case is included.
