Summicron-M 35mm f2, the popular 7-element version. Black finish. Leica product code 11310. Serial number in the 3.52 million range, made in Germany in 1990. Overseas, it is sometimes referred to as the Bokeh King for its beautiful rendering of out-of-focus areas.
This third-generation Summicron 35mm features a 5-group, 7-element optical design and represents a well-refined evolution of Leica M wide-angle lenses. Compared to the first 8-element and second 6-element versions, the exterior has been simplified, but the image quality remains outstanding. It delivers rich bokeh, smooth tonal gradation, excellent sharpness, and a clean, functional, minimalist design. Weighing approximately 155g, its light weight is another appealing point.
This example comes with a 12524 hood, and is also compatible with classic hoods such as IROOA, 12585, and 12504.

An exceptionally clean barrel with almost no signs of use. Even the mount surface shows barely any traces of attachment and removal.
Fully overhauled in March 2026. Both the aperture ring and helicoid have been finely tuned to a beautifully smooth operating feel. Unlike the typical rattly aperture movement often seen in 7-element versions, this lens offers a damped and refined handling experience. Rangefinder coupling is spot on, and focusing accuracy is excellent.
There is only a very slight deterioration of coating on an inner element, but it has no noticeable effect on actual shooting. No haze or cleaning marks are present, and the glass is crystal clear throughout. Test shots confirmed excellent performance.
Comes with a 12524 hood, E39 UVa filter, and front and rear caps.
