The barrel is in exceptionally clean condition. There is a very faint rub on the aperture ring that can only just be seen depending on the light, but the chrome finish still retains its beautiful luster.
Fully overhauled in May 2026. Both the aperture ring and helicoid have been tuned to a wonderfully smooth and satisfying feel. Rangefinder coupling is spot on, and focus accuracy is excellent.
There is a tiny fungus mark on an inner element, so small that it can only just be found with a loupe, but otherwise there are no cleaning marks or haze, and the optics are beautifully clear. The coatings remain in excellent condition throughout, and the lens delivers the sharp and powerful rendering characteristic of the Summicron even wide open. Results from our test shooting were also excellent. Overall, this is a lens in truly outstanding condition.
