Leica Pistol, SCNOO. This example is in black and nickel finish. Introduced in 1935. A convenient accessory that allows smooth film advance with the left hand.
Once mounted on the body, it instantly transforms your Barnack Leica into an exceptionally cool-looking setup. The tripod screw is the small-thread type.
It can be mounted on Leica DII, DIII, IIIa and later models with serial numbers from 159000 onward. Earlier models can also be used if the advance shaft is modified with a notch; however, on bodies up to around 1933, including Model A and early DII and DIII, the body lug that engages the pistol may be too small, and compatibility is not guaranteed.

Previously sold by our shop. Carefully used by its owner, it has now returned to us. Welcome back!
Serviced in 2023. The condition remains as good as when we last sold it. There are some minor signs of use such as light scuffs, but the black paint and nickel plating show little deterioration overall. A very clean Leica pistol in general, with a beautiful, subdued glow to the nickel finish. The ribbon was replaced by the previous owner.
A must-buy item for those who own a black & nickel Barnack Leica. In recent years, however, examples have become increasingly scarce on the market, making this a truly rare accessory.
