Leica MP 0.72 Black Paint. Current model. Leica product code 10302. Official Japanese domestic product. Serial number in the 5.67 million range, manufactured in 2022. As a shop that regularly handles everything from Leica 0 to early Leica A models, and bodies that have continued in sequence from serial number 100 onward, we cannot help but feel the passage of time.
The Leica MP, which debuted in 2002, was designed with durability and reliability in mind, carrying on the tradition of the robust M-type Leica. The only electronic component is the built-in TTL metering exposure system; all other operations are fully mechanical and manually controlled. The glossy black paint finish has a solid coating, and its aging process tends to be gradual and refined.

A faint, minor scratch can be seen on the right side of the finder eyepiece. There is also a very slight rub mark near the strap lug on the right front side of the camera, but it is not noticeable. Otherwise, there is almost no sign of use overall, and the camera remains in exceptionally beautiful cosmetic condition. Truly excellent, top-grade condition.
All functions operate properly, including the light meter. The finder view is crisp and crystal clear.
