Nikkor-Q.C 135mm f/3.5, an early example of the later version that changed from chrome to black barrel. A telephoto lens made by Nippon Kogaku for the Nikon S series.
The optical construction is 4 elements in 3 groups. The lens alone weighs approximately 400g on our scale.
This is the later version, but it comes with a black hood in the same design as the earlier type, which appears to be a period-correct set. The version with black paint extending down to the lower part of the helicoid is somewhat rare.
This lens was previously sold by our shop. It was cherished by its owner and has now returned to us. Its condition remains as good as when we last sold it.
The exterior shows only the slightest signs of use. The lettering on the index marks has not faded, and both the plating and paint remain in clean condition.
In 2024, it was serviced with helicoid relubrication, aperture blade cleaning, glass cleaning, and other maintenance.
When held up to a strong light such as an LED, slight haze can be seen around the outer area of the middle element, but this should have virtually no effect on actual images. No other noticeable cleaning marks are visible.
A genuine hood and hood cap are included. The hood and hood cap show slightly more signs of use than the lens itself.
