Leicavit MP in chrome. Leitz product codes SYOOM-M, SMYOM, or 14018. This Leicavit can be fitted to the Leica MP and Leica M2. The tripod socket is the large-thread type.
Although the M-series Leica adopted lever film advance, this Leicavit allows even faster shooting.
It looks superb on an MP, of course, but also especially stylish when fitted to an early button-rewind M2. A classic setup that many Leica users have admired at least once.
Rare item.

This Leicavit shows plenty of use. It appears to have seen a great deal of action over the years, with dents, small scratches, and scuffs throughout. It should be a perfect match for a well-used Leica M2 or similar body.
There is some distortion at the upper left of the Leicavit engraving, and depending on the camera body, it may be difficult to attach. We tested it on ten Leica M2 bodies in our shop, and it could be fitted to nine of them. One body was not compatible.
If you have any questions regarding compatibility, please feel free to contact us. You are also very welcome to try fitting it to your camera at our shop.
