Nikkor-T 10.5cm f4, commonly known as the Mountain Nikkor. Introduced in 1960. While it is also well known as a lens for the Nikon S series, this example is the Nikon F-mount version. It features a triplet design with 3 elements in 3 groups. Filter size is 34.5mm.

With a maximum aperture of f4, it was relatively slow even by the standards of its day, but this allowed the lens to remain lightweight and compact. In practice, f4 provides ample brightness for outdoor photography. Actual measured weight is 271g.

Although not quite as compact as the Leitz Mountain Elmar, it is small enough to tuck into a corner of a camera bag. An ideal lens for travel and hiking.

The exterior is exceptionally clean, showing virtually no signs of use. The original factory inspection sticker is still in place.

A full overhaul, including focus adjustment, was completed in June 2026. Both the aperture ring and helicoid operate smoothly.

The glass is clear and bright, with no haze or cleaning marks. Under a strong LED light, extremely slight coating deterioration can be seen, but it should have no effect on image quality.

The dedicated hood, front and rear caps, and leather case are included.
