The optical design consists of 10 elements in 8 groups, including one aspherical element. A floating element system is used to improve image quality at close distances. It takes Series 7 filters, used together with the dedicated 12462 hood. Actual weight of the lens alone is approximately 438 g. Minimum focusing distance is 0.7 m.

This lens offers beautiful bokeh and the refined rendering characteristic of the Summilux line. Combined with its excellent 24 mm angle of view, it has become increasingly popular in recent years. It is known for being used by the London-born photographer Alan Schaller, who created well-known works with the Leica M10 Monochrom and the Summilux-M 24mm f1.4. There are several minor marks on the front section of the barrel, near the engraved S in SUMMILUX-M. The hood shows signs of use and is in approximately ninety-one percent average condition. This is a suitable choice for those who want a lens they can use actively for creative work.
All functions operate correctly. The aperture and helicoid turn smoothly, and rangefinder coupling is accurate. Test shots also produced good results.
The glass is clean with no wiping marks or haze, offering a clear view. You will be able to enjoy the lens’s true optical performance.
