Summicron 35mm f2 with a chrome barrel, commonly known as the 8-element version. The Leitz product code is SAWOM, later 11308. Serial number 2.04 million, manufactured in 1964. Made in Germany. Minimum focusing distance is 0.7 m. Filter size is E39. The coating shows amber and purple hues.

Compatible original hoods include ITDOO and IROOA. Later hoods such as 12585 and 12504 can also be used.
This is a previously sold item from our shop. It was carefully used by the customer and has now returned to us. The condition remains just as good as when it was last sold. There are extremely faint rub marks on the front edge of the lens barrel and on the helicoid ring, along with a single small mark near the GERMANY engraving, but these are at a level that is not noticeable at first glance. Overall, the exterior is very clean.
A full overhaul was carried out in 2024. Thanks to this meticulous servicing, the aperture and helicoid still offer an exceptionally smooth and satisfying operation. Rangefinder coupling is spot on.
There are a few very minor cleaning marks on the middle element, and slight coating wear on the front and rear elements that can only be seen when examined under strong LED light. These have virtually no effect on actual photography. The coating remains intact across all surfaces, and real-world shooting tests produced excellent results. Enjoy the atmospheric rendering with the characteristic softness of the 8-element design.
