Leitz 12585 lens hood. This genuine Leitz hood was supplied during the era of the Summicron 50mm and the second-generation Summicron 35mm, as the successor to the ITDOO and IROOA hoods. With its cutout design, it has a more modern appearance.

It can be mounted on many E39 lenses, including the Summicron 35mm f2 and 50mm f2. It is also compatible with the Summaron and Elmar.

This example has the 35/2 engraving, making it a later version among the 12585 hoods.

There are small spots of paint loss on the front edge of the hood, but overall the black paint remains very attractive, and it is in quite nice condition. A clean user-condition example.

Confirmed to fit E39 lenses.
