A compact short-telephoto lens made for the Minolta CLE, fitted with a Leica M mount. It uses the inclined cam type and couples to the rangefinder, allowing full use on all Leica M cameras. Production was shared between Minolta and Leitz, and this example was made by Minolta.
Its compact barrel and light weight of 247 g make it an excellent companion for travel. It offers a gentle, pleasing bokeh and delivers telephoto-like rendering with minimal distortion.
There is a very slight loss of paint on the edge of the helicoid, but otherwise there is almost no sign of use and the exterior is clean.
Fully overhauled in November 2025. Thanks to careful servicing, the aperture and helicoid operate smoothly. Rangefinder coupling is spot-on and focusing is accurate.
The glass shows a faint touch of coating wear on an inner element that becomes visible only under a strong LED light, but it should have virtually no effect on photography. No noticeable cleaning marks or haze are present.
The original rubber hood, which is known to tear easily, still retains good elasticity and remains in excellent condition, matching the lens well. Original front and rear caps are also included.
