This limited edition model was released in 2004 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Summicron. Only 1000 units were produced worldwide. Leica catalog number is 11615. Chrome barrel. Optical construction of 4 groups and 6 elements. Minimum focusing distance is 0.7 m.
It pays homage to the later version of the first fixed-mount Summicron, which remains popular even today. The filter size is also E39. The infinity lock lever has been omitted, giving it a modern finish. Body weight is 260 g (for reference, the later version of the 1st fixed-mount weighs 250 g).
With its outstanding design, it matches perfectly not only with digital Leica cameras but also with current film Leica M models.
This item was previously sold by our shop. It was carefully used by the customer and has now returned to us.
Just like at the time of its previous sale, there are no marks from hood attachment or wear on the mount surface, making it a beautiful piece in mint, unused condition.
It was fully overhauled in 2025. Thanks to meticulous maintenance, both the aperture and focusing helicoid operate smoothly.
There is a very slight deterioration of the coating on the front element, but it does not affect actual photography. Other than that, the glass is clear with no haze or cleaning marks. The test shots show the characteristic contrast and crisp rendering of the Summicron—excellent results overall.
Comes complete with its dedicated front cap, 13132 UVa filter, rear cap, 12585 hood, hood cap, leather case, original warranty card, inspection certificate, manual, and original box.
A perfect set for both collectors and users alike.
