A beautiful Leica Meter MR-4 in black paint. A CdS exposure meter with Leitz catalog number 14218. The paint is, of course, completely original.

This exposure meter mounts on the top plate of an M-series Leica and couples with the shutter speed dial. On the MR-4, the ON/OFF switch was repositioned so that it no longer interferes with the rewind crank of the Leica M4.

A perfect companion not only for a black Leica M4, but also for an M3, M2, MP black paint, and more.

There is some bubbling and deterioration of the paint on the areas where the fingers make contact, along with light rubbing around the switch. However, there is no paint loss exposing the brass, and the glossy black finish remains in excellent overall condition.

Tested and fully functional. Both operation and accuracy are excellent.

Comes with the original box. Also ideal for a collection!
