Leitz shoe-mounted rangefinder HFOOK. This model combines the standalone rangefinder FOKOS with the movable shoe FOKAB. Black/nickel finish. The distance dial is marked in meters. Base length is 75mm, with a minimum focusing distance of 1 meter. This example features finer engraving on the scale, with slightly wider spacing between the distance markings. It is designed to be mounted on the accessory shoe.
When operating the shutter speed dial, the rangefinder body itself can be rotated, a feature full of Leitz-like ingenuity and highly practical in use. By removing the shoe section, it can also be mounted vertically.
A must-have accessory to pair with a Leica Model A or Standard.
There are some light scratches and minor rub marks on the dial section. The black paint retains a nice sheen, and overall the appearance is quite clean.
Although it was some time ago, the item was serviced by its previous owner, and it offers a clear view with good contrast in the double image.
Please note that early Leica accessories often have accessory shoes that are either slightly too wide or too narrow. If the fit is too loose, we recommend folding a small piece of paper and inserting it as a shim.
An accessory distinguished by the beautiful combination of black paint and nickel plating.
