Our original FB-07 hood for the Elmar. This item is a used example with little signs of use. The retaining screw is made of bare brass.
A hood with an aperture-control function—the kind of product that always seemed like it should exist, but never did. Designed for A36 Elmar 50mm lenses. It is compatible with a wide range of lenses, from the 1920s Anastigmat and Elmax to early Elmars and later Red Scale Elmars. Since the dimensions of the Elmar changed slightly depending on the period, we gathered numerous samples from different eras and worked out the optimal size.
It can also be used with the A36 Elmar 35mm f3.5.
Everything from design and prototyping to full production was carried out here in Japan. A genuine Made in Japan product.
This is a piece we poured our heart into, developed over more than a year together with our staff, cooperating manufacturers, and customers who kindly shared their feedback. Our shop logo is featured on the retaining screw.

This item came back to us from one of our customers together with a lens. It is the most popular blackened brass version, in like-new condition.
There are no signs of use on the aperture-control tab or the blackened brass screw. Please enjoy the character that will develop naturally over time.
