A large-aperture standard lens from Canon, the 50mm f1.2 is second in brightness only to the legendary f0.95. It is sometimes referred to overseas as the Japanese Noctilux. When free from the common haze issue, this lens delivers beautiful rendering with the unique character of a fast classic. This particular piece focuses accurately and has exceptionally clean glass.

There is some minor paint loss on the helicoid ring’s knurling, but overall the exterior is in very clean condition for this model.
The Canon 50mm f1.2 often suffers from loose aperture clicks and a stiff, rough helicoid, but this example was fully overhauled in 2017, and thanks to the meticulous servicing, it still operates with smooth, pleasant precision today. Rangefinder coupling is perfect.
This lens is also known for developing haze in the middle elements, yet this one is exceptionally clear and bright, with no visible cleaning marks and remarkably clean glass.
