Self-timer for Barnack Leica cameras. Leitz product code APDOO, later changed to 14003. Black and chrome finish. Manufactured from 1938 until around 1965.
This example is a later postwar version, featuring a chrome dial with black-painted markings. It pairs beautifully with chrome and semi-chrome Barnack Leica cameras.
To attach the self-timer, remove the collar around the Leica's shutter release button and screw the timer into place. Be careful not to lose the collar. Turn the timer dial and lift the small lever to activate it. The shutter will be released after approximately 10 to 15 seconds.
There is a scratch approximately 1 cm long on the back, but otherwise there are no noticeable signs of wear, and the overall appearance is very clean.
Tested on a Leica IIIf and confirmed to be working properly. The shutter releases with a pleasantly smooth whirring sound as the timer winds down.
In rare cases, the timer may not operate properly due to compatibility issues with certain camera bodies. Should this occur, please feel free to contact us.
Comes with the original leather case. The price includes domestic shipping within Japan.
