Leitz vertical rangefinder FOKOS in chrome finish. This is a later postwar version produced after 1949. Among these, it is believed to be the final type, distinguished by the Leitz hexagonal logo engraving oriented upward. The product code is FOKOS, later updated to 14011. Distance scale is in meters.

Compared to the earlier horizontal rangefinder HFOOK, the accessory shoe was eliminated and the design returned to a vertical layout, similar to early rangefinders such as FODIS. It features a refined design and a beautifully precise finish. Overall length is just under 8 cm. An excellent match for Leica Ic and If.

Previously sold by our shop. It was carefully used by the customer and has now returned to us.

There are some light signs of use such as minor scuffs, but no noticeable damage, and it remains in reasonably clean cosmetic condition.

It was serviced in 2024 at the time of the previous sale, including replacement of the half mirror, and the view remains clear. The double image aligns perfectly at infinity.
