Introduced in 1970 for the Leicaflex SL, this lens employs a retrofocus wide-angle design with 8 elements in 8 groups. Highly regarded for its excellent optical performance, it remained in production with the same optical formula until 1994.
Minimum focusing distance 0.3 m. The suitable hood is the plastic 12509, and it accepts Series 7 or E48 filters.
There are a few extremely minor spots of paint loss on the knurled area of the aperture ring, but overall it shows very little signs of use and remains in beautiful condition. No noticeable scratches or blemishes can be seen.
Fully overhauled in October 2025. The operation of both aperture and focusing rings has been refined to a remarkably smooth and silky feel.
When viewed under a strong LED light, only the slightest traces of coating deterioration can be seen, and these are so faint that they have virtually no effect on photography. There are no cleaning marks, and the glass is clear and bright with excellent transparency. Test shots produced excellent results.
Comes with the original box with matching serial number, the original warranty card, hood 12509, and the genuine rear cap.
