E39-size lens hood for Elmar 50mm f2.8 and f3.5 lenses. Leitz product code ITOOY.
This is the later version with a double-hook design, allowing the hood to be mounted in reverse on the lens.
Simple yet elegant in design, it remains a highly popular hood even today.

There is a small mark below the Ernst engraving and some light scuffs throughout, but overall the hood remains in very nice condition. The matte black interior finish is well preserved.
The original box shows significant wear and has handwritten notes, likely made by a previous owner during use — a charming reminder of the passage of time in contrast to the hood’s well-kept condition.
