Leica’s classic external 35mm viewfinder, the SBLOO. The later product code is 12010. This example is the early type with the Leitz logo inside a hexagon. It was introduced in 1951 as the successor to the WEISU finder.
Needless to say, it is perfect for Barnack Leicas and the M3, which do not have built-in 35mm frame lines, but even on Leicas with built-in frame lines, simply mounting this finder lifts the mood. It offers a brilliantly clear viewing experience.

There are somewhat noticeable scuffs with shine on the bottom surface. There are also two or three light scuffs elsewhere, but no dents or prominent scratches. When mounted on a camera, it presents a very clean appearance when viewed from above.
The glass was cleaned by a specialist in June 2026. Very fine dust can be seen when held up to a strong LED light, but there are no cleaning marks, and the glass is clear and bright. Enjoy its bright, easy-to-view finder image.
Mounting has been checked on our Leica IIIg and other cameras. Comes with a leather case.
