※About rarity

Made by Nippon Kogaku. Early version of the W-Nikkor.C 3.5cm f2.5 in Nikon S mount. External bayonet Nikon S mount. Distance scale in feet. Filter size is 43mm.
At the time of its release in 1952, it was the fastest 35mm lens available and relatively affordable, which made it highly popular.
6 elements in 4 groups. At or near wide open, it shows characteristic Gaussian rendering with rich vignetting and a gentle flow toward the edges. A wide-angle lens that offers plenty of classic vintage character.
The chrome-plated brass barrel weighs approximately 180g, giving it a solid and substantial feel.
Enjoy it not only on Nikon S bodies but also on digital mirrorless cameras via an adapter.

Minor scuffs and light small scratches can be seen, but overall it maintains a clean appearance. There are no noticeable dents or heavy damage. The black paint on the name ring still retains its gloss, giving the lens a crisp and well-defined look.
The aperture and helicoid operate smoothly. Rangefinder coupling is accurate, and focusing is precise.
There are some light cleaning marks on the front element, but they should not affect actual shooting. No haze or fungus is present, and the glass is clear and bright. Test shooting results were also excellent.
A third-party 43mm filter and hood are included. A practical, ready-to-use piece.
