Wide-angle lens for the Nikon S series, W-Nikkor-C 35mm f2.5. Late version. Beautiful black paint finish on a lightweight aluminum barrel. Weighs approximately 110g, compact in size. Double Gauss design with 4 groups and 6 elements. Distance scale in feet. This example features a small EP mark engraved on the stopper.
The lens adopts a tapered, recessed front design, giving it a dignified and striking appearance when mounted on a Nikon S body. Bright enough for versatile use, it delivers excellent sharpness in the center even at full aperture. The natural vignetting toward the edges adds character and atmosphere to the images.
A uniquely styled and visually appealing lens with superb rendering performance. It can also be thoroughly enjoyed when adapted to modern mirrorless cameras. The original metal hood is a rare accessory, but thanks to the recessed front design, the lens performs very well even without a hood.
This item was previously sold by our shop. It was carefully used by the customer and has now returned to us.
The exterior remains in very clean condition, just as when it was last sold. There are hardly any signs of use, and the matte black paint retains much of its original factory-fresh appearance.
The aperture and helicoid operate properly, and the rangefinder coupling is accurate.
Under strong LED light, there are only very slight coating marks that are barely noticeable, and they should have no impact on actual shooting. There is no haze or fungus, and the glass is clear and well preserved.
There is a very slight trace of oil on the aperture blades. It is not an issue at present, but servicing can be arranged at additional cost upon request.
The lens performed very well in our test shots.
