Alongside the Elmar 65mm, this is one of the representative Visoflex lenses. Despite being coated, it produces beautiful flare in the highlights, allowing for expressive images that make the most of its soft rendering. Beyond its optical character, the superb finish of the barrel, together with the beautifully designed hood and front and rear caps, reflects an exceptional level of craftsmanship. A true masterpiece from Leitz’s golden era.
The 16466 adapter (former code OUBIO) is included. It is compatible with the bayonet mount of Visoflex II and III.
By using a Visoflex–Leica M adapter or similar, it can also be enjoyed for live-view shooting on digital Leica M cameras, as well as on mirrorless systems such as the Leica SL series.
Solid and substantial in weight, this is a hidden gem that rewards the user with truly beautiful image quality.
There are extremely faint rub marks around the hood mount and near the helicoid ring, but overall the lens shows very little sign of use and has a beautifully clean appearance.
A full overhaul was carried out in January 2026. Both the aperture and helicoid have been transformed, now offering remarkably smooth operation. The moist, refined feel of the aperture ring is truly delightful.
On the glass, there is very minor coating wear around the periphery of the middle element, visible only when held up to a strong LED light, with virtually no impact on actual photography. Aside from this, there are no noticeable cleaning marks or haze, and the glass is exceptionally clear and transparent. Given that Hektor 125mm lenses often suffer from optical issues, this example ranks among the higher-end glass conditions.
The set includes the 16466 / OUBIO adapter, the original hood, hood cap, and rear cap. The hood in particular is surprisingly clean, in outstanding 95% near-mint condition.
